MAC "Magenta Madness"

I just got my order from MAC of the 'Magenta Madness' loose eye pigment. This is what it looks like applied with no primer and a little wet. Just a dab of moisture to get the color to really pop. I love it, I even turned it into a nice hot pink lip color to go with the eyes. :)

I absolutely love this color. I'll probably do a tutorial with it soon after I get the rest of my products I just recently ordered.

Burst

I found inspiration in my deodorant today. It's called Burst, so I just went with it, haha. No tutorial today, just a few pictures. My hair looks a lot more red in pictures. It looks more orange in person.

If you guys like this look and want a tutorial, leave a comment and I'll do it for you tomorrow. :)

Forget Me Not

This is the desired look I'm going to break down step by step for you guys today! Just a note, I started with a specialfx lens but I didn't like it too much in the final outcome so I took it out for the final pictures down at the bottom.

I started with green brows, foundation, powder, and blush. On the lids, I used a cream based light green color as a primer of sorts. There's also a light white cream under the brows, per my usual tactics.

Over the light green cream based shadow I used Sugarpill's Buttercupcake, applying only over the lids. I also applied white shadow over under the brow to make it more noticeable.

Afterward, I took a lime green shadow from CoverGirl and followed the crease of the lid just over the yellow. After blending the two, I took a darker green from Loreal's HIP duo shadows and created a sort of 'wing' on the outside of the lid and crease (down below).

From there, I applied eyeliner (I always use liquid and in the blackest black I can get), some liner on the bottom lids, leaving just a small portion under the eyeball bare. It works for a pretty cool effect, almost making your eyes look a little bigger.

With lids down.

Lids open, final product.

Tada! Enjoy! :)

Phoenix

In light of a new hair color, I decided I'd go with something to bring attention to the color red! Here's my red/gold centered look I did for last night's 'rave' at a local bar I work at.

I started with red brows (Sugarpill's Love+ over some red lip liner ), foundation, powder, and blush.

Afterward, I used some light white shimmery cream under the brows above the crease of the lid. I then gave it a swipe of white powder to make it more noticeable.

Following that, I swiped some gold cream shadow from Shiseido over the lids. Usually I use a brush to apply it, but I had to resort to using my finger. Worked just as well. I then swiped some gold pressed powder the cream base.

I pre-lined where the red shadow goes with lip liner to give me something to follow with my brush. I used Sugarpill's Love+ for the 'wings' and blended it a bit with the white.

After all the blending, I took a little eyelash glue on my pinky and spread it over the gold on the lid to keep the glitter in place. It worked awesome (it's just a slight pain to get off. I've still got glitter on my lids!)

Then liner and lashes! It looked really great and lasted all night even in the crowded and overheated bar. :)

And don't forget about the giveaway!

Peacock Party

I suppose I was feeling blue today, as in really digging the color, not being sad. :) I wanted to play around a bit with the colors I have seeing as how I've neglected it for a while. I've done a lot of purple recently, but I thought why not create something with both colors.

These were the items I used (plus a pair of lashes and various brushes).
Sugarpill's Burning Heart Palette - Poison Plum
Loreal's Wear Infinite Studio Secrets - White Powder
Loreal's HIP - Showy 224
Revlon's Illuminance Creme Shadow - Electric Pop 712
Maybelline's Expert Wear Eyeshadow - Electric 130
Liquid Eyeliner/Pencil Eyeliner

I started off with some blue brows, foundation, powder, and blush.

Afterward, I applied the light blue Revlon's Illuminance Creme shadow to the lids and swiped some white powder under the brows to the crease.

I don't know about you guys but I always have to complete one eye before the other. It's difficult for me to go back and forth doing the blending and whatnot. Maybe I'm just weird! Either way, after the white shadow and creme was applied, I took the Maybelline's Expert eyewear and applied it over the creme. Sometimes I'll use the creme as a primer compared to an actual primer. It's always worked really well for me.

Then I moved onto the Loreal HIP eyeshadow, using the darker blue out of the two that I applied mid eyelid, sweeping it out a little further than the corner of the eye. I blended with a blender brush.

Using Sugarpill's Poison Plum (one of my favorite brands, by the way), I followed the crease above the blues and blended out, giving a sort of wing.

Follow up with some liquid eyeliner above the lashes (I usually do a little cat eye, but not too much.) Mascara, pencil liner to line the bottom lid, and some fake lashes and you've got the look!

Tada!

Sugarpill: Burning Heart Palette, Addicted to Pretty Collection

Colors: Flamepoint, Buttercupcake, Love+, Poison Plum
Don't mind my messy palette, I've had it for a while and used it plenty of times (note some chunks missing, probably from me dropping it a few times, haha). Sugarpill cosmetics has to be one of my favorite brands in terms of bright and vibrant eyeshadows. For $36, you receive 4 highly pigmented shadows in a palette with a perfectly sized mirror for application.

These are the color swatches on my hand applied two different ways. (Note I have very fair skin, ivory if a comparison is needed in terms of foundation.) All four were applied directly to skin without use of any primer. The top row was applied with medium sized flat brush. The bottom row was applied with a sponge brush (the kinds that typically come with eyeshadow you'd buy at places like Wal-Mart, etc.) As you can see, even without primer, all the colors keep their vibrancy, even the yellow.

I've used Colors: Flamepoint, Buttercupcake, and Love+ for this particular look.

I started with a clean slate, no primer, no foundation or powder on the eyes. I covered the entire lid along with directly under the eyebrow with Loreal's Wear Infinite Studio Secrets 520 Violets. I used only the white powder, applied with a short rounded brush. Using this temporarily until I can get my hands on Sugarpill's Tako powder.

After, I applied flamepoint with a medium rounded brush directly over the white and used a blending brush where the white and orange form a separating line, buffing it out a bit.

Afterward, I did the same process but with Love+ only over the eyelid, following the natural crease for the most part before blending that as well with the blender brush. Towards the crease, I made the Love+ a little darker for a more dramatic look.

After everything is blended and the colors are as dark or as light as you like them, finish off with your choice of eyeliner. I prefer to use liquid eyeliner (Maybelline Line Stiletto, blackest black.)

And viola! Add some mascara or fake eyelashes to complete the look and you've got an amazingly vibrant look that will last all night!

You can buy all the popular brand items from local stores (Loreal, Maybelline, etc.)
